The Hormone Lie: Why ”Eat Less, Move More” Stopped Working
Are you a women in your late thirties to early fifties finding that all the things that used to work for weight loss just aren't working anymore? What if I told you it's not you. It's cortisol, burnout, and hormones shifting after decades of hustle—kids, work, life. This isn't about another diet. It's about balancing what decades of extreme diets, exercise, and chronic stress have thrown out of whack.
Eventually, the nervous and endocrine systems get burned out and that's when we start seeing that weight we've worked so hard to keep off start creeping back. We try harder, thinking cutting calories further, exercising more and harder will reverse it, but it's actually making matters worse.
In order to release the weight we need to calm the nervous system, fuel our bodies not starve, exercise in a way that supports hormones rather than adding stress, and change our inner dialogue.

There are so many myths about weightlifting floating around out there. I believed so many myths about weightlifting for years and they kept me from trying it. I don’t want that to happen to you, so today I am dispelling five of the myths about weightlifting. Five of the myths I hear and also used to believe are:
Weightlifting makes you bulky.
Spot training or targeting specific areas.
You must work out every day to get results.
You must work out for hours to get results.
You can’t get good results unless you go to the gym.
