The Hormone Lie: Why ”Eat Less, Move More” Stopped Working

Are you a women in your late thirties to early fifties finding that all the things that used to work for weight loss just aren't working anymore? You're doing everything "right," eating clean, moving your body yet... nothing budges. The scale's stuck, the belly's stubborn, and you're tired of hearing "just try harder."

What if I told you it's not you. It's cortisol, burnout, and hormones shifting after decades of hustle—kids, work, life. This isn't about another diet. It's about balancing what decades of extreme diets, exercise, and chronic stress have thrown out of whack.

Eventually, the nervous and endocrine systems get burned out and that's when we start seeing that weight we've worked so hard to keep off start creeping back. We try harder, thinking cutting calories further, exercising more and harder will reverse it,  but it's actually making matters worse.

In order to release the weight we need to calm the nervous system, fuel our bodies not starve, exercise in a way that supports hormones rather than adding stress, and change our inner dialogue.

I'm sharing what I'm learning live, no fluff. From stress hacks to hormone-friendly habits, we're figuring out why the old rules failed... and how to win now. If you're done fighting your body, come along. Midlife isn't the end, it's just a pivot point. Let's step into our queen era together!

This is our fourth episode of the Creating a Healthy Lifestyle miniseries. In today’s episode, we dive deep into how proper hydration can aid in weight loss and overall health. I have practical tips to help you establish healthy hydration habits that boost your metabolism, aid digestion, and support fat loss.
So, today, I am discussing:
How much water to drink daily: Aim for 8-10 cups or half your body weight in ounces.
Drinking water first thing in the morning: Why this habit helps jumpstart metabolism and flush out toxins.
The benefits of drinking water 30 minutes before meals: How this can help control appetite, improve digestion, and increase satiety.
Water's role in fat loss: How water helps break down stored fat, improves metabolism, and reduces water retention.
